1. CHILDREN’S FARES

  • Children’s fares: Ages 4–14 years inclusive.
  • Infants’ fares: Under 4 years old (must not occupy a seat).
  • Children aged 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years) on all tours.

2. PRICE INCLUSIONS

  • Entrance fees for booked activities/destinations (excludes optional extras).
  • Meals, snacks, and refreshments where indicated.
  • Guided tours at most places of interest.

3. PRICING & PAYMENT

  • All prices are in NZD and include GST (15%).
  • Overnight tours: Full payment required at booking.
  • Credit card fees: 2.9% of tour value (min. $3) for all card payments.
  • Accepted cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express. Personal cheques not accepted.

4. CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

  • Operator rights: ATAS TRAVEL reserves the right to:
    • Alter fares, routes, transport, or accommodation.
    • Cancel tours if minimum passenger numbers (typically 4) are not met.
    • Substitute an alternative operator or issue a full refund if no alternative exists.
  • Force Majeure: No liability for cancellations due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest). Refunds will exclude unrecoverable costs.
  • Coach breakdowns: Itinerary changes may occur. Compensation considered for delays >2 hours.
  • Behavioral issues: Passengers may be removed for disruptive behavior without refund.

  • Changes: Free amendments permitted (subject to availability).
  • Non-refundable: 3% credit card fee on all transactions.

6. HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Acknowledgment of risk: Participants accept inherent dangers (e.g., remote terrain, extreme weather).
  • Disclosure: Must notify ATAS TRAVEL in writing within 12 hours of booking of any health/fitness issues affecting participation.
  • Third-party activities: Liability rests with the operator. ATAS TRAVEL is not responsible for injuries or damages.

7. LUGGAGE POLICY

  • Checked luggage: Max 2 pieces/person (25kg each; total dimensions ≤158cm).
  • Wheelchairs/prams: Count as checked luggage if collapsible; otherwise deemed oversize.
  • Prohibited items: Not permitted on board or in luggage (per NZ law).
  • Right to refuse: ATAS TRAVEL may reject non-compliant luggage or unaccompanied parcels.

8. IMAGE USE & PRIVACY

  • Consent: Participants agree to the use of photos/videos for global marketing.
  • Corrections: Requests to modify images may be denied if impractical (e.g., already published).

9. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

  • ATAS TRAVEL is not liable for:
    • Loss/damage of personal items left on coaches.
    • Injuries/deaths during third-party activities.
    • Unused tour portions (no refunds).
